Find the right class

Our weekly classes begin in September and continue throughout the school year, with fresh projects in fall, winter and spring. Students enrol monthly and keep their place unless they choose to withdraw. New students may join in September, January or May—or at other times when space allows.

Prefer something less frequent? Our monthly Saturday Studio is offered as a four-class seasonal series.

All classes are limited to 12 students.

Art with room to explore

At The Art Table, projects are thoughtfully planned—but the goal isn’t 12 identical pieces.

Students receive clear, encouraging instruction while having room to make choices, develop their ideas and create artwork that feels like their own. Some projects are completed in one class, while others unfold over several weeks so students can slow down, revisit their work and build skills over time.

What to expect

  • Small groups of no more than 12 students

  • Artist-led teaching and individual encouragement

  • Drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking and sculpture

  • All art materials included

  • Skill-building without pressure to make “perfect” art

  • A warm, welcoming studio where creativity is celebrated

Which class is the right fit?

Creative Explorers

Creative Explorers is designed for ages 6–12 and is a great fit for children who love making, imagining and experimenting with new materials. No previous art experience is needed—just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to make a bit of a mess.

Emerging Artists

Emerging Artists is designed for ages 9–14 and offers more focused development in areas such as drawing, painting, composition, colour, perspective, observation and design. Some previous interest in art is helpful, but no formal training is required.

Children ages 9–12 may be a good fit for either program. Creative Explorers offers broad exploration in a relaxed setting, while Emerging Artists is best suited to students who are already drawn to art and ready for more focused skill development.
